Shoes are not really important as accessories because yoga is an art that should be performed bare foot.

If you are trying to attain a posture where you are supposed to touch the floor while standing on the feet, the yoga blocks will be of great help.

In fact they are more useful for those who are beginners or have certain physical problems.
